It might seem a waste of time to discuss in Colombia a dialect used by the country people in a faraway córner of the world like Scotland, but we can only say that where words are spoken, the philologist burrows like a gleeful gopher. The philologist who has never come across this dialect will establish immediate contaets betwcen the significances, forms and phonetic developments of words in this dialect and those of other languages already known to him.
