Resumen

From the "deleytables fontezicas de filosofía" which Rojas professes to admire so much in the anonymous one-act play which has avowedly fallen into his hands, and, more specifically, from among the "gran copia de sentencias" which emanates from them, there emerges one which is vital to thc progress of the sixteen, and later twcnty-one-act Celestina, and which provides the most cogent clue to its most incisive irony, Celestina's death: the good things in life must be shared to be enjoyed.
